Fresh of the boat just a few days ago the seamouse is in the beautiful country that is Australia.
Going to be here a while so trying to already get the ball rolling with some collaborations, art shows, surfing and a bunch of new work.

Finaly had a chance to sit down for a bit and watch a bunch of Korduroy TV and I got to say I was pretty impressed. A nice mix of grounded videos to get you exited about surfing and making stuff which are two of my favorite things to do to pass the time. The ethos leans towards the thinking of 'it doesn't have to be pretty or perfect, it just has to be fun' which in its own way is just as desirable.

Highlights for me was seeing mad genius Derek Hynd fix a ding with pine needles and hearing the exitement in the voiceover on the first riding of the Sea Serpent.

I'm really proud and very exited to be a part of The British Surfing Museums 'An art History of British Surfing' exhibition showing in Thurso, Scotland.

'Full of beautiful nuggets of how the sport of kings has been represented in graphic form, the show has been thoughtfully created by English surfer Pete Robinson. The show is a small but delectable edit of a huge collection of surf memorabilia that Pete hopes to find a permanent home for in Devon this summer.'

A couple of pieces of my work on the wall next to the 'Eco Surfboard' with art by proper artist Conrad Shawcross.

The Present

Went to check out Thomas Campbell's 'The Present' which wasn't really the same experience as those checking it out in the US but good fun no less.
Thomas and the stars of the film weren't there and neither was the Mattson 2 or Ray Barbee instead the much lower key event had a suitably low key pre-movie in the form of the awesomely British Life Of Ply.
Micks trailer for Musica surfica also showed and having seen it at home was blown away by how good it looked on the big screen.
As far as 'The Present' it's pretty good as far as surf films go but I was left a little disappointed in the overall feel of the film considering it came from the hands of the super talented and highly prolific Mr Campbell. It's worth a watch but I reckon Sprout will still stay my fav.

Received an awesome gift yesterday. Ryan's September print is one of my favorites and is sure to make my flat walls that bit nicer. Mr Tatar has a good eye for catching beautiful compositions of those quieter moment's in a life surfing.

After moaning like a grumpy ol fart that I was in the wrong place at the wrong time, 'Jamie showed me me a little Pineapple Luv that I haven't stopped smiling about since.
